This exhibition was run as part of the ARTHOUSE OPEN STUDIOS FESTIVAL.Here is just a selection of some of the pieces exhibited.

All these murals were designed and painted by young people and residents of he chosen areas.

Many were commissioned as a way of tackling heavily vandalised public spaces and so far all of them have survived intact and proved this method works.

Working with a group of young people from the local area we planned and produced this mural for side of the community centre.

This brightens the space up for everyone that uses the facing park and should also deter anyone from tagging the area which will result in cutting down costs of cleaning vandalism in the future.

We painted this production as part of an art trail in chelmsford in the summer.

There must have been over 40 writers there that weekend ,some amazing

pieces were produced.

We were lucky enough to get a trackside/station facing plot with a pub a

100 yards down the road!

Each christmas some of the crew who are feeling particularly creative get together for a Secret Santa. This exchange of gifts normally ends up being some sort of canvas based work.This was my effort from 2009, in-jokes and references to my 'ends' may not mean as much to some as others but i think the person that received it got em!

High Fields Youth Club Mural Workshop

Over the course of several evening sessions the young people of the High Fields youth club got the chance to create another graffiti mural.After a design meeting with the young people to find out what they wanted, i drew up an outline for them and they got to work. Using a variety of mediums including aerosols, acrylics and posca pens everyone got involved and had a great time getting creative. It was painted it on boards that have now been put up in one the rooms in the club.

This project was started by someone else and i was called in to try and save it. The previous artist had produced the lettering and then let the kids run wild tagging all over the background,the whole wall looked a right mess.

As the young people of the estate had produced the lettering we decided to keep that and just work on fixing up the background.

Heres the finished wall and below the young people involved in the project with some canvases they produced throughout the day.

This work was for a Movie called 'One Day',based on the book of the same name by David Nicholls.It stars Anne Hathaway and Jim sturgess and will be out Later on this year.

The brief was pretty straight forward, produce some graffiti all over the side of a pub and make it look like it was painted around 1989.

During the February half term break Feltham Arts put together another great show of local talent at Feltham Community College. I was invited back again to run the stage design course,over three days myself and a team of young people created what was going to be the backdrop to the show.

Ham youth Centre: Music studio Mural

At the beginning of February 2011 i was asked to paint portraits of musical icons to liven up the dull corridor of Ham Youth Centres Newly built music studio.

After great debate with the young people of the centre we narrowed it down to four, Slash from Guns n Roses, Bob Marley RIP, Beyonce and Eminem.

The opening of the music studio even got a nice bit of coverage in the local paper.I was happy to see my work getting some exposure even though they forgot give me any props... Oh well you can't win em all!!

Beavers Farm Estate.Oct 2010

The young people of Beaver's estate youth club wanted to brighten up and have a sense of ownership over there space within 'The Hub' building.The shutters dividing the library from their area was the perfect canvas.

Over the course of a few evening sessions the group came up with a design and set about creating there masterpiece.

Everyone one involved really enjoyed the project and really got to grips with the medium of aerosol pretty quickly.

Feedback on the mural from the local community that use the building has been great, they all say it brightens the space up and was just what it needed.

Thanks to Mandy and all the young people from The Hub for making this happen.

Leaving on a jet plane...goodbye grey britain..5 days of blue skys, sun and painting awaits...hopefully

6hrs later and we hit Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus.Hello sunshine!

First stop, getting stocked up..Thanks to our friends at DONT THINK
for sorting us out .

With not much daylight left, there's enough time for a quick tour of the local area and get a few reaches up to say hello

The next day we were invited down to a the GRAFFITI SHOP in Larnaca to drop a little piece.Big up everyone there, these guys sorted us out with paint, food and beers..top lads.

.Day 3, The Mayor of Nicosia kindly gave us permission to paint this spot in the centre of town,Now you wouldn't get that in Surrey!

Day4..Managed to aquire a nice little shutter to paint in the centre of town, the night before and general lack of sleep over the last few days was catching up with me so i opted for something simple this time...Girls on top!

That night we hooked up with REKURS, this guy has smashes it, has styles for miles and most importantly is a top bloke.

He took us out of the capital to one of his plots where i killed off the last of my scraps..

Though looking back at it i probably should have just gone to sleep!

Big thanks to everyone that sorted us out during the trip..Big up Has1ne and the Don't Think Empire! Mimi for putting up with are madness and feeding us amazing food. Spek and the thc crew,Rekurs, Bar Reckless and everyone that let us paint their walls and shutters...I'll definitely be coming back again.

Alice in Putneyland...

The Prince of Wales pub In Putney asked myself and claire from Paintmypanda.com to come down and brighten up their beer garden in time for their new years eve party,The theme was Alice in wonderland and these guys went all out,as well as us painting them this mural,they transformed the interior of the pub into a magical wonderland world,giant mushrooms,magical trees and playing cards everywhere.We also had the chance to sample some of the crazy cocktails they were planning to serve up on the night,good stuff . If your in putney go check this pub out,its run by a great bunch of lads and there food is amazing.

Back in November last year i was asked to paint sets for HORRID HENRY:3D MOVIE.Its based on the hugely successful childrens book of the same name, and is the first ever kids movie to be filmed in 3d.Its due out in summer 2011.

In early december 2010 london had the pleasure of a visit from legendary new york graffiti artist and star of 'Style wars' Duster UA.

Duster was over here for his first Uk exhibition at The london miles gallery which was curated by London based artist 'Don' and while he was here i got the chance to rock a few walls with him, chock, don , demo and others..Big up everyone that came out and braved the cold snowy conditions...

These are photos from The Southville centre's youth event last week.
I ran a graffiti canvas workshop throughout the week,i painted over 120 canvases with the young people over the course of the event,this is just a snippet of what got done.
There were also djing,fashion and hair/beauty workshops on offer as well as bmx comps,mcing battles and streetdance demos.Over 250 young people from the area attended the event and it was a great success all round.

kneller gardens workshop

To celebrate the refurbishment of the old pavilion in Kneller Gardens,Twickenham, the 'Friends Of Kneller Gardens' team put on activities and events for the locals on the opening day.

I ran a 3 hr workshop,where members of the public were invited to help paint 2 canvases themed on kneller gardens and what it ment to them.

Everyone had great fun getting busy with the acrylics and posca pens.
Thanks to Simon Taylor for all the help.
The canvases are now hanging inside the pavilion for everyone to enjoy.

With help from the residents on the Watermead estate,Bedfont, we created this mural in 3 hours !
Its aim was too brighten up the dull and drab corner on the estate and deter tagging that was previously a problem on these walls.
The feedback throughout the day was great and everyone enjoyed having a go at spraying.

This mural was part of a 2 day workshop at Willow Brook Primary school in Essex.
It was run as part of the Explore Culture ,One world festival.
7 artists each worked with groups of up to 5 young people.We used their designs and ideas based on the theme of 'diversity' and transformed the perimeter wall in the playing field with some great colourful and interesting murals for the whole school to enjoy.

Massive thanks to Brave1 for the hook up,and big up all the other artists involved, Ekto,Kak,Qrypt,Herse and ebee.
